Proverbs 31:2,10-11,30-31

“What are you doing, my son? What are you doing, son of my womb? What are doing, son of my vows?”

“An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain.”

“Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.”

What does “fearing the LORD” look like then? Let’s look closely at Galatians 5:22-26 ESV

“But the fruit of the Spirit is  love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”

John Piper Quote:” He [God] doesn’t want the beauty of our faces, he wants the beauty of mercy.”

Praying Matthew 5:7 this evening: “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.”
